Area Under Winter Storm Warning, Wind Advisory

Snow is expected to last through Friday.

 

You woke up to some snow this morning, and there is more to come, according to the National Weather Service. Seekonk and Swansea are under a winter storm warning and wind advisory through Friday at 1 p.m. (storm) and 7 a.m. (wind).

The following NWS forecast is in store for Seekonk as of Thursday morning:

Thursday Daytime: Snow. High near 34. Windy with a north wind 23 mph to 26 mph, with gusts as high as 49 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Thursday Nighttime: Low around 31. Blustery with a north wind 17 mph to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 49 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.

Friday Daytime: Snow before 5 p.m., then a chance of rain. High near 36. Breezy with a north wind 20 mph to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 49 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
