1. Superchief Trio at Seekonk Public Library

The Seekonk Public Library continues its annual free summer concert series open to the public. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to the Meadows to enjoy Superchief Trio on Wednesday, August 7th at 6:30 pm

Billed as “the largest trio in RI,” local favorites Superchief Trio will be making their first performance in the Seekonk Summer Concert Series. “ After several recommendations, we are excited to be welcoming Superchief Trio this August “says Senior Adult Services Librarian Michelle Gario. “Their unique blend of New Orleans R&B and swing promises to make everyone want to get up and dance.”

This event is sponsored by The Friends of the Seekonk Public Library.

In the event of rain, concerts will be rescheduled.  Registration is not required for this event, but patrons interested in being notified about rain dates should register through the calendar of events on the library’s website at www.seekonkpl.org.

3. What Else is Happening Around Seekonk-Swansea? Congressman Joe Kennedy III will hold Fall River office hours at a new time on Wednesday, August 7 from 8:30AM to 10:30AM. During this time, one of the Congressman’s caseworkers will be available to meet with constituents and discuss any concerns. No appointment is necessary.

For the rest of the month of August, the Congressman’s Fall River satellite office will return to its normal hours every Wednesday from 10:30AM to 12:30PM. The dates are as follows: August 14, 21, 28. The office is located in room 318 at Fall River City Hall.

“This satellite office is the base of operations for our constituent outreach across the South Coast,” said Congressman Kennedy. “By holding open office hours each week we hope to ensure that Fall River and the surrounding area have consistent access to the resources our office can provide.”
