Seekonk State Rep Pushes For Bill to Allow Earlier Sunday Liquor Sales

Seekonk State Rep. Steve Howitt is hoping a bill he introduced at the state house will help area liquor stores stay on par with bordering Rhode Island.

According to the Sun Chronicle, Howitt's bill would allow the sale of liquor at 10 a.m. on Sundays instead of noon. The bill comes at the same time Rhode Island is introducing a similar bill.

Howitt said liquor stores near Rhode Island's border could be hurt if a bill passed in Rhode Island and not in Massachusetts, according to the Sun Chronicle.
