Swansea Resident Promoted to Senior Accountant at BlumShapiro

BlumShapiro, the largest regional accounting, tax and business consulting firm based in New England with offices in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut, announced the promotion of Alexander Morse from staff accountant to senior accountant.  Morse will continue to provide accounting support services to the firm’s audit teams while taking on a leadership role.

Morse joined Sullivan and Company as a staff accountant in 2011, before its merger with BlumShapiro in January 2013.  Prior to that role, Morse worked as an accounting intern with Modern Imaging Inc. for over two years. There, he oversaw accounting procedures, specifically invoices, billing and accounts payable.

Morse holds a degree in accounting from Bryant University.  He is a member of the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants and plans to begin taking the Certified Public Accountant Examination in spring of 2014.  He resides in Swansea, MA.
