Police Chase, Drug Possession and Shoplifting
Five recent arrests are reported in Seekonk.
The Seekonk Police Department reported the following recent arrests (an arrest does not indicate a conviction):
April 19
7:04 p.m. Lawrence A. Aubin, 48, of Rehoboth was arrested on Route 6 after Seekonk police were alerted "Rehoboth police report a vehicle traveling toward Seekonk that contains a person being held against their will. Vehicle spotted on Route 6 and continuing onto School Street and refusing to stop," according to the Seekonk police log.

Aubin was arrested on suspicion of failure to stop for a police officer while operating a motor vehicle, negligent and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, resisting arrest and destruction of property. He was also accused of speeding and a marked lanes violation.

4:20 a.m. Mitchell P. Giroux, 24, of Dighton was arrested in the parking lot of Grady's Auto Parts (250 Pine St.) after a passerby told police an unknown male was sitting in a Jeep Cherokee. Giroux was arrested on suspicion of OUI liquor, possession of a class E drug and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
9:14 p.m. Eric Frade, 44, of Pawtucket was arrested at Motel 6 (821 Fall River Ave.) on an unspecified warrant.
9:35 p.m. Scott Thomas Carney, 25, of Lincoln was arrested at the Hess station (1520 Newman Ave.) on an unspecified warrant.
April 24
4:12 p.m. Lori Ann Robinson, 52, of East Providence was arrested at Kohl's (1 Commerce Way) on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise valued at more than $250.
