Seekonk Police Log Aug. 4 and 5: Bomb Threat, Assault and Larceny

The following is from the Seekonk Police Log. Where arrests are mentioned they do not indicate convictions.

Aug. 4

3:33 p.m. Caller reported a case of assault.

6:23 p.m. Caller reported damage to his mailbox on Elm Street.

2:58 p.m. A caller reported an armed robbery at the Gulf Station on Fall River Avenue. The suspect was reportedly wearing a black mask and a dark colored sweatshirt and reportedly in his late 30s to mid 40s. The area was evacuated when police found a suspicious device left behind by the suspect, but the device turned out not to be a bomb. The state Bomb Squad, Fire Marshall, and air support assisted in the investigation.

Aug. 5

7:30 a.m. Caller reported a residential break in on Washington Street.

9:57 a.m. Caller reported his cell phone was stolen.

5:24 p.m. Caller reported a hit and run on Anthony Street.
