The threat of snow forced New England Christian Academy in Swansea to cancel a staff professional day Wednesday.
It was the only local cancellation so far.
A parking ban was in effect for Seekonk through 10 p.m. Wednesday night. A ban was also in effect for Swansea through 4 p.m., according to WJAR-TV.
The latest forecast called for about an inch of snow for Seekonk and Swansea Wednesday. It will be windy, with gusts as high as 55 mph.
