Swansea Events

Fall Story Hour programs are starting today at Swansea Public Library and sign ups will be held until Sept. 30. Several programs will be offered Monday through Thursday. Fall story hour sessions will last through the week of Halloween and will conclude with a costume contest and Halloween party. Check the Swansea Public Library website for more information. All children who attend must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent or caregiver. Space is limited so stop by the library or call today at 508-674-9609.

Family History Fundamentals is a new genealogy program offered every Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m.  in the reference room at the Swansea Public Library. Librarian and family historian Carol Gafford will provide the basics of getting started in this hobby. The four week program begins on today. Week one: Getting started. Week two: Web sites for family historians. Week three: Records and resources. Week four : Where do we go from here? Materials will be provided. Sign up today as seating is limited. Seekonk Events

Today is International Dot Day at Seekonk Public Library. Wear dots, eat dots, draw dots, frame dots, connect the dots...anything goes!  No registration is required.  Just make a dot, bring it into the library and we'll hang it up.  Or make a dot with materials we provide and be creative.
