Seekonk Public Library will host Tai Chi 10:30 a.m. Tai Chi is a low-intensity workout which provides numerous benefits such as improved balance and toned muscles as well as promoting longevity and weight loss. These free classes will meet every Saturday in September in the large meeting room and be held outdoors in Seekonk Meadows weather permitting.
Science Saturday Workshops will take place 12:30 to 3 p.m. at Seekonk Public Library. Major Don Morrison from the Civil Air Patrol and resident "Mr. Wizard" will work with students aged 11 and up with experiments in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). September's project is remote controlled helicopters. Registration is required for this program, and placement preference will be given to Seekonk residents.
SUNDAYMayor Menino’s Boston Bikes host the 9th annual Hub on Wheels for cycling enthusiasts ages 10 and older to explore historical Boston. The ride starts and finishes on City Hall Plaza in downtown Boston, with a 10-, 30- and 50-mile route option. Fruit, water and light snacks will be available for hungry riders at various stops throughout each course. Don’t have a bike but still want to ride?
